The Straight Edge Barbershop 

I am the owner of The Straight Edge Barbershop and I am from Tahlequah Oklahoma, born and raised right here in our unique awesome town! I have been interested in the hair industry since I was very young. I graduated Tahlequah Beauty College in March 2010. I started my career working in a local beauty salon for 4 years. I loved styling and cutting hair but I realized something just wasn't there. I took a job for my cousin Hal Green, owner of Cowboy Barbershop in January 2014. I found my passion for Barbering as soon as I started there. I worked as a Stylist for Hal Green for 8 months and learned so much! I wanted to further my knowledge in the barbering industry, so I took a chance and opened up the Straight Edge Barbershop September 30, 2014. Opening the Barbershop has been one of the BEST decisions I have EVER made. I specialize in ALL fades, of all different hair types, scissor cuts, women's pixie cuts & undercuts, design's, and pretty much whatever you throw my way! I love a challenging style!

I am originally from Kansas and relocated to Tahlequah in 2016. I have been with The Straight Edge Barbershop since 2016. I have been in this professional industry since 1984, and no that's not a typo! I am a licensed cosmetologist and I love cutting all types of men's, women's, and kids haircuts. If I have to pick a favorite type of haircut, it would be a Classic #1 guard fade and scissors on the top of the hair. It is even better with a manicured beard and mustache. I live on Lake Tenkiller, with my husband Kevin. I love the water, sun, and friends.

Hello, my name is Nick Wallen. I've been a Barber since 2018. After graduating barber college, I polished my craft at one of the best barbershop in Norman called FadeNUp, before helping on opening an award winning barbershop in McAlester, OK (The Shoppe) in 2021, I specialize in any hair types and textures!

I graduated from Stilwell Oklahoma in 2021 and went straight into Cosmetology school. I attended school at Paul Mitchell College in Fayetteville, AR and have been licensed since August 2022. I started working for The Straight Edge Barbershop in August 2022 as the Receptionist. I loved working as the Receptionist, it gave me time to learn from the other barber/stylist's in the shop during my down time, I moved from the receptionist position in February 2023 to my own barber chair in the shop and I couldn't be happier. I love working here and learning about barbering from all the amazing stylists here! I wouldn't say I have a favorite haircut just yet, right now they are all my favorite because they are all a challenge in their own unique way! I'm definitely a family person and in my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Meet Kenna, our talented stylist who graduated from Career Academy in Siloam Springs, AR, in 2017. With a passion for precision, her favorite styles to create are classic skin fades and faded mohawks. Outside of the Barbershop, Kenna loves spending quality time with her husband and three kids, making memories that last a lifetime. Her warm personality and expert skills make every visit a special experience!

Cori Sue, brings her passion for hairstyling and dedication to every client. Originally from Tahlequah, Cori Sue recently returned from Tulsa after graduating from Paul Mitchell and has been a licensed cosmetologist since January 2023. She’s skilled in a range of services, with a special love for fades—especially skin fades. Beyond fades, Cori Sue enjoys creating all types of braids and loc styles, ensuring each client leaves with a unique and polished look. Stop by and see what Cori Sue can do for you!

With 38 years of dedication to the craft, Rick has been practicing the art of barbering since 1986. A Master Barber with multiple state licenses, Rick also holds certification as a Barber Instructor. His expertise spans all aspects of traditional barbering, from precise razor-edge beard trims to modern styles, perfect for today’s business professionals. With a focus on hair-tapering, fades, and advanced hair-over-comb techniques, Rick brings a wealth of knowledge to Straight Edge Barbershop. He’s also certified in Sebring and Roffler Hair Design cutting styles, adding a unique touch to every cut. Rick takes Walk-in's Daily Tuesday - Friday 9am - 5pm Wednesday's 9am - 6pm & Saturday's 9am - 12pm
