Shelly-Owner/Barber/Stylist/Colorist

Owner/Stylist with over 30 years experience. A shape architect, Shelly considers your face shape, growth pattern, and hair texture. She is the go to barber for many of Seattle's most influential men. Her resume covers anything from educator, platform artist, runway shows, and print work. Never at a loss for words, She proudly mentions herself favorite quote “ Hair is architecture at its simplest form” ..Vidal Sasoon was right. From his inspiration she doesn’t just focus on men or womens hair, “people are fluid rather, I specialize in various lengths and styles, from skin fades to long shaggy layers, classic bobs ,precision and textured cuts, unruly curly hair, super fine hair, she tackles cowlicks and wins “hair is not just male or female. Men have long hair and a lot of women get buzz cuts,, I do people”. She’s a well rounded stylist that can do almost anything ,listens to what you want and explains how to achieve it. And if she can’t,she will find someone who can, “ Seattle is a small town, the world of stylists is even smaller, especially the good ones”. Shelly downplays how she single handedly tackled The Build of The Parlour, from knocking down walls to building them, all on a shoestring budget. “ It was hard, a lot of tears,,I seriously had no money, not even a loan, and My only transportation was a 50cc vespa”. See the imperfections, questionable drywall, bad paint job, and how much love was put into every imperfection. “Anything is possible “ . Shelly believes that her clients own The Parlour, “ Seriously without them, I would have never been able to create all this, and most of all, I’m still here after 8 years! I owe everyone of them.” Shelly wants her clients to know .. “If ever a bad hair day appears, remember…….. You wear the hair, don’t let it wear you., your fabulous ”
