Jaison Coles was born and raised in Harlem, NY. Having a strong creative and artistic upbringing supported his love for music and dance. His father was a musician, trumpet player who traveled the world with greats such as James Brown and Wilson Picket. His sister is a singer/celebrity designer, and oldest brother was a rapper in the 80’s. He attended the Harlem School of the Arts and DePaul University in Chicago where he learned to play multiple instruments, sing and dance. His talent was also shaped by the rising street culture of Hip Hop where he developed a love for urban art. Jaisons' passion for teaching led him into the education field, working as an instructor and vendor for several school districts on Long Island and NYC. Hip Hop Dance Kids was established in 2017 with the intention of supporting a void for children who were seeking a program that catered to their needs. Those students who didn’t play sports or have an after school activity needed an outlet to express themselves. From that point on the program never looked back. Based in Rockville Centre, New York Hip Hop Dance Kids is now home to over 300 students ranging from ages 3-13 yrs., and now classes for adults as well. The mission has never changed; foster growth, self esteem and build character. Always believe in your true self and live your purpose. No matter age or ability anyone can dance!
