Hi friends! I’m Jill (she/her). I am a white, cis-gender, able-bodied, able-minded daughter, sister, mother, friend, wife, aunt, yoga guide, survivorship coach, business owner and breast cancer disco ball who survives long term side effects left from the cancer and cancer treatments. I am surrounded by Susquehannock and Piscataway land, colonized as Clarksville, Maryland. I have been a student of yoga for 12 years and a guide for 7 years. My current teacher Susanna Barkataki furthers my knowledge of the origins of the ancient yogic practices and the original intent of these practices. As I deepen my understanding of this intent, I can see that the potential for growth and transformation through the practice of yoga is boundless. My classes are based on the 8-limbs of yoga and include a combination of meditation, pranayama and asana. I am passionate about reducing the harm I am capable of causing through appropriation by honoring and embracing yoga’s roots. I am committed to sharing yoga from a place of authenticity so every human can have an authentic experience. Teaching pranayama is extremely special to me as it was my first introduction to yoga during my cancer journey. Pranayama allowed me the space to find my way back home; to fit the pieces of my scattered heart back together so I could once again shine my light (my disco ball). I teach private and group yoga classes and oncology yoga. I also provide survivorship coaching. All classes/coaching are available in a hybrid format. Reserve your spot today!
