Maliah’s dance journey began in her early years, immersed in various dance backgrounds. Growing up, she cherished attending Powwows with her family and engaged in ballet, tap, and jazz. Through middle school and high school, Maliah continued her passion by participating in the school’s cheer and dance teams. By her sophomore year, she was choreographing dances for the team’s performances, showcasing her creativity and skill. Post high school, Maliah explored new avenues of dance, eventually discovering her passion for line dancing. Introduced to a line dance class at Club Rodeo Midway by friends, she quickly embraced this new form and hasn’t looked back since. Employed at the club, Maliah immersed herself in learning new dances and soon began assisting in teaching. Today, Maliah teaches line dancing five times a week, catering to students of all levels from beginner to advanced, focusing on technique and form. Her teaching style combines a fun and jovial atmosphere with a dedication to safety and correct footwork.
