Jenevieve Neros is the owner/operator of Vocāre Pilates. Jenevieve began her career in physical training and rehabilitation in the early 1990’s with adaptive aquatics and wheelchair athletics. After receiving a master’s degree from University of Southern California’s department of physical therapy and biokinesiology, her practice has evolved through experience across neurological rehabilitation, acute inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and school based settings. Jenevieve first discovered Pilates in outpatient orthopedics, as part of treatment for all things low back. Pilates and Pre-Pilates floor exercises are taught in any good lumbar stabilization program. But it wasn’t until managing her own spinal dysfunctions that she was introduced to Pilates equipment, including the reformer, cadillac, chair and ladder barrel. These brilliant apparatuses, and the pain relief afforded her personally, propelled her into an inspired study of the discipline. Jenevieve began her formal Pilates Instructor certification in 2009, completing Balanced Body University’s full studio curriculum. She’s furthered her studies with Master Instructors Lolita San Miguel, Tom McCook, Madeline Black and Elizabeth Larkam. Jenevieve sees Pilates equipment and CoreAlign as invaluable tools to assist our bodies with life’s movement demands and to prepare us for easeful upright longevity.
