Abigail Zimmerman
Abigail Zimmerman

Abby's passion is to create a welcoming environment, challenging her students to grow in their practice. She has been practicing yoga since 2011, and decided to become an instructor in 2016. Abby truly believes yoga is special because it is so inclusive; everyone can do yoga and everyone would benefit from a regular practice. When not at the studio, you can find Abby spending time with her two dogs, husband, and new baby girl. -500 RYT

Kayla Nyce
Kayla Nyce

Kayla found yoga 10 years ago after her second fractured knee left her feeling frustrated. After having been an active individual, she sought a physical exercise that was challenging, yet forgiving. Yoga fueled her competitive spirit while simultaneously granting stress relief. After continuing dedication, she has found that yoga is more than physical work. Yoga is a lifestyle that is applicable to all aspects of your life. Her mind is calmer and her body is happy. When not at the studio, you'll find Kayla lost in the woods, perfectly content. -200 RYT

Cody Steussy
Cody Steussy

Cody has always strived to be just a little different. His classes are all about the energy we give and get from each other. Cody began falling in love with yoga after finding his body hurting after high-impact workouts. He quickly discovered that he no longer needed those high impact workouts for results. As he pursued his passion for yoga and health, he saw results not only physically, but emotionally. Now Cody enjoys sharing those discoveries with others while helping them to make their own discoveries. When Cody is not in a studio, you can find him enjoying time with his husband and their family

Kel de Castro
Kel de Castro

Kel is a 200hrs certified Dynamic Hatha Yoga instructor, currently pursuing 500hrs. She has been practicing yoga on and off since the age of 16, but her true devotion to the practice began a little over three and a half years ago. In June 2017, Kel had the amazing opportunity to attend a month long residential yoga teacher training at the Circle Yoga Shala near Jasper, Arkansas. Under the guidance of Matt and Holy Krepps, she became immersed in the practice of self-inquiry through the seven core actions as taught in the dynamic hatha yoga practice which unite presence (drusthi), breath (pranayama), integration (bandhas), rhythm (vinyasa) and stillness (asana). Kel is a former biology teacher at Bentonville High School, and is currently pursuing a PhD in cell and molecular biology focusing on mitochondrial disorders and cellular energetics at the U of A. She am a total “body nerd” who loves the outdoors, natural movement, Acroyoga, and her dog, son and partner. -200hr; 300 in progress

Sarah Myers
Sarah Myers

Sarah Myers found yoga about 10 years ago after a toe injury drastically altered her plans to pursue dance. She started practicing as a way to stay active and limber post surgery but wound up falling in love with all aspects of yoga. She's spent the past decade practicing under different teachers at various studios across multiple states. Two years ago, she received her 50-hour teaching certification and has been practicing and teaching around NWA ever since. She's excited to meet and spend time with the fabulous yogis at The Yoga Loft

Joe March
Joe March

Joe has been practicing yoga for over 7 years. His favorite style is hot power flow but has grown to appreciate and understand the importance of including yin as part of his practice. He started practicing yoga as a low impact form of exercise but stayed with the practice for the improved mind/body benefits it brought to his life off the mat. Joe’s goal as a teacher is to help make yoga accessible for people of all ages and abilities and eagerly. When not practicing you can find Joe spending time with his family (especially his grand-kids!) -200RYT

It gives her the opportunity to completely decompress and focus inward. She loves meeting new people and hearing about their personal yoga stories. When not on her mat you can find her spending time with her husband, two boys and dogs on the lake! -200 RYT

Jess Smiley
Jess Smiley

What started as a personal quest for emotional growth and healing, led Jess on an educational journey that spans a decade. She began studying yoga and body therapies in California, and after experiencing the benefits in her own life, she became a massage therapist so she could share the love. Seeking to deepen her knowledge, Jess traveled to Thailand, where she obtained certifications in Thai Yoga Massage and Reflexology. This experience changed the way Jess approached body work, and highlighted the importance of movement and stretching. She went on to receive her 200 hour yoga teacher certification at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat in the Bahamas, where she immersed herself in a yogic lifestyle. Her time there gave her a glimpse into the transformational potential available through yoga. She took that inspiration back to Arkansas, and studied Kinesiology at the University of Arkansas and began her 500 hour yoga teacher training at Circle Yoga Shala. Join Jess at monthly meditation!

Rena Wren
Rena Wren

Rena began practicing yoga many years ago after spending most of her youth participating in athletics, cheer, dance, music, and theater. Because yoga brought such profound balance and peace to her life, she yearned to learn more. Rena spent quality time meditating and exploring yoga program options before she completed my 200 and 300 hour yoga teacher training with her in the tradition and lineage of Krishnamacharya. Rena has also studied Yin Yoga with Bernie Clark at Semperviva Studio in Vancouver, BC and is currently studying Viniyoga yoga therapy with Chase Bossart at Yoga Well Institute’s 1000 hour IAYT accredited yoga therapy program. Other yoga studies and experience include yoga for stress management, yoga for health care, prenatal yoga, restorative yoga, yoga for workout recovery, hot yoga, vinyasa yoga, detox yoga, workshops, retreats, and public speaking. When Rena is not doing yoga, she is spending time with her husband, Rodg, as well as her daughter & granddaughter.

Denise: Over the course of her 25 years of pet training in Northwest Arkansas, she's seen it all. She's rarely found people with pet problems. Instead, she usually discover pets with people problems. In these situations, successful communication is key; she help pets and people understand each others’ languages. Her education and experience reflect her passion for socialization and effective communication and contribute greatly to her abilities to help people get the most out of their relationships with their pets. Caroline Swanson
Caroline Swanson

After joining a gym in 2008, I vowed to try every class. After trying my first yoga class I remember thinking “wow, what just happened?” I thought I had taken an exercise class but got so much more. Yoga is the best multitasker created; a practice for body, mind and spirit that is introduced on the mat, then practiced in life. The benefits for me came, but not overnight, as I struggled to keep a consistent practice. But through the chaos of life, I saw when I returned to my mat how much yoga gave me peace, pause, perspective, balance, strength, flexibility and more! After moving to Northwest AR in 2017, I gave myself the gift of yoga teacher training. Now with my RYT 200, I am growing and sharing the benefits of yoga with others. For me it’s exciting to see yoga smooth out the rough edges of someone’s day or help them learn something new. When not in the studio, I enjoy spending time with my family (human and furry), art, being in nature, cooking, & knitting.
