Erin Goldman MSW, E-RYT Erin comes to yoga from a background in dance, psychology and social work. After completing her Master of Social Work degree in 2007, she decided to shift gears and complete a yoga teacher training in Thailand. She completed an additional teacher training, this time in Anusara yoga, in 2008 and taught full-time in Seattle for 7 years. Erin's 9 years of daily meditation practice and study with Paul Muller-Ortega has allowed her to refine and clarify her vision and purpose in teaching. It is her aim to offer folks the opportunity to experience joyful embodiment, to simply appreciate and relish in the experience of living in a body, no matter what limitations and challenges one may be experiencing. She offers classes, workshops and one-on-one sessions at Table Health.
I teach people of all ages and levels of athleticism how to manage their posture and everyday movements, specifically their spines. Offering an understanding of how your body is built to move, so you can better understand your injuries, why they happen, and how to potentially eliminate pain by developing new movement habits. The Gyrokinesis® Method is a safe approach I use for those who have been sedentary in addition to those who are physically active who want to regain any lost flexibility. I also specialize in education, prevention, and management of basic pelvic floor functioning for men and women.

Alice Brydges has been a lifelong disciple of the movement arts. A former professional dancer, she has more than twenty years of experience as a certified movement therapist Feldenkrais practitioner and Hunyuan Taiji instructor. When asked what she likes best about teaching, Alice says: “My passion is people – I love working with them! Young or old, physically challenged or athletically gifted, I enjoy making contact and seeking to discover, together, the rich, exciting -- and often surprising -- place where learning and self -awareness meet.”
I love empowering people through movement that integrates the principles of Pilates which are: awareness, breath, balanced muscle development, concentration, control (mind, body), centering, efficiency, precision, flow, & harmony. When we learn these principles in class, we can apply them throughout the day in whatever activity we're doing. I teach proper biomechanics & give feedback through verbal & hands-on cueing to help my students get the most out of their practice & leave with a sense of accomplishment. My goal for the class is to create a safe space where people are free to be themselves, connect with others, & feel seen, heard, & accepted.
A love of dance and a passion to see others reach their potential has led Melissa to teach movement and dance in multiple countries and a variety of settings. Her education had included Academie Ste. Cecile, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, an Associate with Cecchetti Canada and most recently the Royal Academy of Dance. She and her husband have called Traverse City home since 2014, and when not teaching you will likely find her on a hiking trail with their pups or in one of the amazing local coffee shops.
