Therapeutic Connections 

A native of the Mississippi Delta, LaTrisha (Bailey) Dumas , moved to Jackson in 1994, where she received her BBA in Marketing from Jackson State University. In 2003, she enrolled at the Mississippi School of Therapeutic Massage. After graduating, she received her National Massage & Body Work Certification and joined AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association). She worked as an independent contractor and later launched Therapeutic Connections in 2009. “My interest in massage therapy is more than just a job. It is my life, passion, and love as well as a gift I am blessed with.”

Asia Bass is 27 years old and has been a LMT for a year now. Asia graduated from JSU with a BS of Science with a concentration in Physical Therapy. She initially wanted to be a PT. Upon completing her clinicals and applying for PT school, she was put on a waiting list to get in. While working full time at CSpire for 3 years, she decided to go to Massage Therapy school to get more hands on training. Asia didn’t realize that so much more came with MT other than massaging the body. She realized she had found her passion and could do the same things as a PT without paying more money for school and quitting her FT job. Asia is well rounded in Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, ear candling and chair massage. She is now in the process of getting certified in reflexology. Her game plan is to be certified in lymphatic drainage, Reiki, myofascial release, and cranio sacral therapy.

NeKeitra Patterson, I am originally from Canton, Ms, I am a graduate of Callaway High School. I attended the Institute Of Health and Technology pursing my massage therapist education. I have a passion for helping people. I love it. And I love it because it works, because it moves me. When I get a good massage, I am a changed person. I get off the table and float on a cloud for days. It wakes me up at the same time that I sleep better. It’s like someone focused the world and made the colors brighter. Massage therapy helped me to really believe in natural healing methods, relieving anxiety, depression, gave me a sense of calamity and relaxation. To have the gift of giving someone else the same feeling is beyond amazing.
