Jessica is a certified GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® Trainer, Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, American Ballet Theatre Certified Teacher, & retired Professional Dancer. She also holds a Bachelors of Arts in Performing Arts and is currently pursuing her Masters of Arts in Education with a specialty in Dance Teaching. As an instructor with over 15 years of experience, Jessica places high priority on alignment & quality of movement. She encourages her students to fully understand their technique & to not be afraid to ask questions. She has worked with people from all walks of life. Ranging from professional movers to novices just looking to stay fit. She has had dance students accepted into various college programs including but not limited to Lines BFA Program, Arts Umbrella, Marymount, NYU, UCLA, Columbia, Chapman, & Juilliard. Many of her dance students have gone on to have successful careers in LA, NYC, & around the world. In addition to the private coaching she provides through ShadowOfaDancer, Jessica is currently Ballet Master of Nor Cal Dance Arts in San Jose. As a dancer, she danced professionally for over 10 years before retiring in 2022. She is currently a teacher, & choreographer with Oceanica Ballet. Prior to her work with Oceanica she was a principle dancer with Bay Pointe Ballet & has also danced with Oakland Ballet Company, Menlowe Ballet, & as guest artist with Western Ballet & The Milissa Payne Project. She also freelanced & has traveled all over the USA & Europe.
