Heather has been running her practice since 2013 when she graduated from the National Holistic Institute as a certified massage therapist, and also studied Thai massage back in 2007. She soon grew tired of doing massage the way she had been trained because clients would always come back with the same issues and problem areas and the work wasn't sticking. This led her to train with Jocelyn Olivier at Healus in Mill Valley, where she learned about neuromuscular reprogramming over the course of the next few years and is still learning more and more about that work. This opened up a whole new world of changing patterns and pain in the body and nervous system, but she eventually discovered there were limitations to that as well. She trained with Gabriel Posner to learn about somatic bodywork off and on for years, and this sparked the interest that has led her to her most recent certification program. After becoming a certified ThetaHealing practitioner in 2019, she was forced to give up in-person work during the pandemic in 2020 and so she leaned into the energy work that she had learned. She found that this work helped others not only release their limiting beliefs to help them grow and heal emotionally and spiritually, but eventually began to see the connection between long-term pain and imbalance patterns in the body that couldn't be healed with physical interventions and the improvement and sometimes even disappearance of them after deep ThetaHealing work. After going back to in-person work, she began to weave these skills and modalities together into the work that she is doing today. She now is certified in trauma-informed breath work facilitation as of 2021, and is becoming certified as a somatic mind-body coach currently to deepen her skills, understanding, and expand the ways in which she guides clients to heal themselves.
