Meet Bernie! A 200+ hour trained Yoga Instructor through YogaFit. Bernie is trained in trauma, pelvic floor, senior/chair yoga, pre-natal, YIN, and the Chakras just to name a few! In addition, Bernie is also a Yoga for All certified instructor, trained to teach Yoga for all shapes sizes and abilities. Bernie hold other certifications; Reiki 1/2, Energy Healing, Zumba and Kelani Dance. Her passion began in 2013 after recovering from a blood clot in her upper thigh. After experiencing her first plus size dance fitness instructor (and falling in love with dance fitness) a passion grew inside her to break the stereo-types on the standards of fitness (and much more). Her journey evolved from being a student to becoming an instructor. Bernie believes that Fitness is for all bodies. Her teaching style reflects her beliefs as she offers choices during her fitness classes so the student can choose what their body needs for that day. Bernie's fun spirit shines as she incorporates various body positive themes, affirmations, positivity, music and much more! There is more to Bernie than just a fitness instructor. Besides balancing a full time day job, caring for her family, selling Epicure and teaching fitness classes, Bernie has a passion for organizing events. In the past 6 years Bernie has hosted several events from craft sales to large wellness expos. She has raised thousands of dollars for local charities through these events. She is known in the community as a trusted person with heart for helping others.
