Tina Disch started her yoga practice in 2017 with Tom Pitcher, her significant other, and she has blossomed into a better SELF as a result of yoga--she is healthier and happier! She completed her YTT-200 hr program at Body and Soul in Dubuque and is a Certified Yoga Instructor. The yoga practice that Tina wishes to bring to the community is a dynamic, physical practice, which synchronizes breath and movement. This produces an internal heat, designed to purify the body. This yoga is great for building core strength and toning the body.

I am a strong believer that anyone is able to participate in yoga and well-being practices no matter the age, size, ability etc. I, like many of you know the importance of self-care practices but struggle with making it a priority in our lives. Work, Family, and Life at times get in the way. Let's work together to prioritize our own self-care. I am also a certified yoga instructor, having completed 200 hours of training and an additional 95 Teacher Yoga with Challenge to Change. This journey into yoga underscores my commitment to physical and mental well-being, not just for myself but also for those around me. On the personal front, I am a proud mother of four wonderful boys and a new daughter-in-law and have been happily married for 25 years. Our family is completed by our adorable Doodle, Bear, who brings endless energy to our home. I find peace and rejuvenation in nature. I love walking and spending time outdoors, staying true to my rural Wisconsin roots. Family time is incredibly important to me. Traveling is another passion of mine, allowing me to explore and experience new places I have been driven by a deep commitment to education, self-care,and well-being. I hold master's degrees in School Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, and School Administration. I am also licensed as Director of Pupil Services and Superintendent. Currently, I am pursuing my Doctorate of Education, focusing my dissertation on a topic that I believe is crucial: Educator Self-Care. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving as a School Counselor, School Administrator, and Special Education Director. In each of these roles, I have strived to make a positive impact on the lives of students and fellow educators, contributing to a more empathetic and effective educational system. I am excited to be joining the team with Rooted Studio.
