I went to massage school when i had two babies at home and became pregnant with my third while there. My husband had a steady belief my hands were meant for healing. I had just finished a stint as an AmeriCorps volunteer working with refugee families and literacy. My degree is in psychology and studio arts, and it feels right to give and receive within the context of the head the heart and the body, and massage has a special way of integrating these aspects. I studied massage first with the visionary Horst Rechelbacher at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, then at the Yoga Center with the brilliant Tanya Boigenzahn. I stayed in Thailand, China, and India to develop a firsthand depth into their bodywork techniques and rounded it out with schooling at the American Academy for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Minnesota. I am a current transplant in Portland, OR. and attending school to get my masters degree in Acupuncture.
