Todd Steller
Todd Steller

Todd Steller’s goal is to get people excited about playing golf regardless of age and ability. Todd adapts his lessons to one’s skill level (new golfer or seasoned player) by using fresh, creative, and fun methods of instruction, providing the ultimate lesson experience! Todd is a native San Diegan. Growing up, he developed his love for golf by playing with his father, brother, and friends. Todd has always been into sports–basketball, baseball, soccer, surfing, skateboarding, and skiing but gravitated towards golf. He loves how every round of golf provides new challenges to overcome, especially mentally. Todd began playing golf at the age of six. He was team captain for the Poway High School Varsity golf team and the University of Redlands golf team. After college, Todd committed to playing golf professionally and toured around California, Arizona, and Nevada. He golfed professionally for many years before he pivoted his career into teaching professionally. As a teaching professional, Todd’s mission is to give his students the appropriate tools to improve so they can have more fun golfing! He believes that golf facilitates some of the best memories you can ever have. The joy of striking the golf ball perfectly, the incredible views of a beautiful golf course, and the laughter brought on by an errant shot are addicting and are something that he believes everyone needs to experience.

Sheldon Kamanu
Sheldon Kamanu

Sheldon Kamanu has been a professional golfer for the majority of his life. He started his golf career between the Islands of Hawaii and Vallejo, California. After competing on several different professional tours around the country he began his teaching career in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sheldon's nickname, Chi-Chi, was given to him by fellow professionals because he loved to "Chat it Up" with everyone. Another comparison is that his short game is just as good, if not better than Chi-Chi Rodriguez himself. Sheldon has been a professional golf instructor at Riverwalk GC for 12+ years and he loves to facilitate a fun, relaxing and inviting environment for his students. Sheldon caters his instruction to all ages and body types and knows how to relate golf fundamentals to all types of people. On his free time Sheldon loves to travel, play golf with friends and family, attend concerts, watch Raider games and generally be the life of the party!

Ralen Cox
Ralen Cox

Ralen Cox has worked in the golf industry for about 20 years, and at Riverwalk Golf Club for 5+ years. Ralen was born and raised in Palm Springs, California and spent his early years playing local executive course, practicing martial arts and playing basketball. His first golf job inspired him to learn the ins-and-outs of the golf industry. Ralen graduated from the Professional Golfers Career College in Temecula, California with an Associates Degree in Golf Course Management. The PGCC served as a stepping stone to being Assistant Golf Professional at PGA West. When Ralen is not playing golf with friends and family, he finds joy in his other hobbies like hiking, camping, practicing martial arts, shooting hoops on the basketball court or watching movies. Ralen strives to have all his students experience “shot euphoria”, the feeling of hitting it pure on the sweet-spot of the golf club. Ralen is able to narrow his student’s focus and give them relatable ways to think about their golf swings. Ralen loves when he can mediate the connection between his student’s mind and body so they experience that “shot euphoria!” more often.
