I received my Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2012 after six years of post-graduate study. I have continued my studies extensively with Kiiko Matsumoto and Tsuyoshi Shimamura in the Nagano style of acupuncture, a gentle and effective form of palpation-based Japanese style acupuncture. Studies in fascial counterstrain began in 2021 and are ongoing. Fascial counterstrain is a method of identifying areas of inflammation in muscles, bones, ligaments, blood vessels, organs, any tissue in the body, and releasing the inflammation by slackening that tissue. It is relaxing and painless and can improve chronic health conditions and pain. Combining acupuncture and fascial counterstrain is the most effective and sublime treatment combination available in my clinic.
