Al Guerrero, Senior Barber & Shop Manager
Al Guerrero, Senior Barber & Shop Manager

Al is a second generation groomer, in that his mother was a successful hairdresser in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 35 years. After spending many years already working in other service-related industries (including several in Executive Protection for Kaiser Permanente's senior leadership team), Al soon realized that growing up in the hair industry had him wanting to make a greater impact somehow to those living in his community. As a husband and father of two young boys, Al knew right away that his calling was to better influence men of all ages as a Barber. After receiving his California State Barber License, Al completed a four month advanced Apprenticeship under Mark-Jason Solofa, and we feel very fortunate to have him in the Parlor.

Chris Nguyen, Senior Barber
Chris Nguyen, Senior Barber

Chris is a Bay Area native, born and raised in Alameda. After serving in the Army for five years in Field Artillery as a Tactical Data Systems Specialist, Chris was in search of a new career that would continue to challenge him, that would give him a creative outlet, and more importantly, that would allow him to spend more time with his wife and their new born son. Now as a licensed Barber, Chris joins the Parlor team and brings with him a dedication to serving others, while enjoying the process of making connections with his clients (a true testament of being a service oriented Barber in a day and age where building relationships with clients is almost a lost art).

Charlie HerreraVillar, Senior Barber
Charlie HerreraVillar, Senior Barber

Charlie joins the Parlor team bringing with him a very diverse background. He has pursued acting and trained in the Meisner technique of acting in San Francisco and Los Angeles. He also studied Fire technology, completing the Firefighter Academy at Chabot College, and is a Certified Firefighter and EMT by the State of California. But it was his life long interests in art and cutting hair (developed over the years from cutting his own hair and those of his family, friends and colleagues throughout the years) that inspired him to pursue a career in Barbering. His experience in past career paths give him a great sense of community and service to others, which undoubtedly will serve him immensely as a Barber, not to mention the clients who will sit in his chair. Charlier completed his in-house Advance Apprenticeship under Mark-Jason Solofa.
