With over 20 years experience in the field of Criminal Justice, I have witnessed many changes. As an expert in the niche of female offenders (juvenile & adult), I am passionate about breaking the cycles of inter-generational incarceration. 15 years ago, I purposed to be a change agent when created a Gender Responsive Caseload Model during my career as a Deputy Probation Officer. More specifically, I wanted to serve the 18-25 year old population, now known as Transitional Aged Youth. Moving on to working as a Clinical Psychologist at one of California’s Level 4 Prisons, I gained even more insight into the highest risk male population. I continue to feel compelled to provide knowledge to those on both sides of the law. I am a wife and mother of five who enjoys Organizing, Yoga, Pilates, Facials, and Massages. While working as an officer, I recognized the challenges I had with work life balance. I found it important to protect my mental health by curating a consistent self care regimen. Combining my passion and my purpose, I have been successful in building relationships with both executives, law enforcement staff, court officials, and the population we serve simply by listening.
