I have had, like many, a wild journey in life that has placed me here today with an amount of growth and strength that I could never had imagined. Growth is my passion and for the last 16 years I have chosen dance and yoga as my portal into that growth. Growth can be scary, it can be exciting; it can be so many things. I felt alone on my journey and one thing kept me going: the joy that is created in any moment at anytime through physical growth. I urge my students to grow and I nurture that by providing a safe place for both the body and mind to truly explore oneself. I majored in dance at Eastern Michigan University as well as Calvin College. My path then led me to work for several franchise ballroom dance studios; receiving many awards and recognitions for teaching, competing, and performing. I have worked for and trained with celebrity dancers like Tony Dovolani and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. I am professionally certified to teach ballroom, and am currently working on my nutrition and yoga certifications. My husband and I have two daughters, two dogs, and several plants. I love to garden, but I also love to play in the snow. When I am not dancing, doing yoga, or spending time with my family you can find me...resting. Growth. Needs. Rest.
