Jaison Coles was born and raised in Harlem, New York, in a vibrant, creative family. His father was a touring musician who played with legends like James Brown and Wilson Pickett, his sister is a celebrity stylist and designer, and his older brother was a rapper during Hip Hop's golden era in the 1980s. Jaison began his artistic journey at the Harlem School of the Arts, where he studied music and dance. He later attended DePaul University in Chicago, majoring in Vocal Performance. Deeply influenced by the rise of Hip Hop culture, he immersed himself in various styles of street dance, performing at renowned venues such as Madison Square Garden, Broadway Dance Center, and Manhattan Center. Driven by a passion for education, Jaison began teaching in schools and performing arts organizations throughout New York City and Long Island. In 2017, he founded Hip Hop Dance Kids in Rockville Centre, New York. The program has since served over 400 students, fostering growth, self-esteem, and character development with the belief that anyone-regardless of age or ability-can dance.
