Hello, My name is Cody Shull, I played ball at Gregori High School all four years and was the starting third baseman, I received a partial scholarship to play at Arizona Christian University. After graduating high school, I chose to stop playing and take a different route into coaching. This is my second year coaching the Freshmen level at Gregori High School and I will be coaching travel ball. My individual coaching focus is on hitting, and fielding.

Hi guys! My name is Renee Downey! I have been around the game of softball my whole life, I played at Beyer for highschool, after high school I accepted an athletic scholarship to Friends University- a NAIA school in Wichita Kansas. During my collegiate career I obtained a fielding % of .987 and was awarded “ KCAC Golden Glove” my sophomore year. My junior year we won the KCAC tournament which took us to Nationals. My senior year was cut short due to Covid but I was on pace for my best season yet! After my senior year, I was asked to come back as a Graduate Assistant for the program. I was able to learn and coach at the collegiate level while earning my Masters. I graduated from Friends University with a Bachelors degree in Physical Eduction and a Masters is Education in 2021. I then came back home and was provided the opportunity to stay on Friends Staff as a West Coast Recruiter (which I still do). I am also a PE teacher and Head Varsity coach at Downey Highschool. I am very excited to start giving lessons and helping young female athletes obtain their athletic goals!

I genuinely would love to be able to impart what I’ve gained in the duration of playing the game of softball, as a pitcher, which was a total of 16 years, to any girl eager to learn more & become the best version of themselves. I love the game of softball because it was never “just a game” it was and is a passion.
