Kim is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and has been teaching since 2003. She loves sharing yoga’s gifts with students of all ages and backgrounds. Her classes are welcoming and add a bit of humor and deep compassion to this challenging, precise, and deeply rewarding practice. B.K.S. Iyengar dedicated his life to making yoga accessible to every person regardless of age or infirmity. With Iyengar yoga, everyone can achieve greater focus, confidence, and purpose. When not teaching, Kim loves to spend time with her family, be in the woods, and explore new places near and far.

Caron practiced other styles of yoga for 20 years before finding a home in Iyengar Yoga. Caron is a Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher who has practiced Iyengar yoga for ten years. She traveled to India twice in 2018 and 2020 to study with the Iyengar Family. For her assessment, she mentored with Kim Peralta and David Yearwood and has taken numerous workshops with many senior teachers including Lois Steinberg, John Schumacher, Peentz Dubble, Jarvis Chen, and Patricia Walden who she studies with weekly. In addition to teaching two classes a week at Portland Yoga Studio,she also teaches Iyengar Yoga at the Casco Bay YMCA in Freeport, Maine and at her home studio, Yoga On Munjoy Hill in Portland Maine. Caron’s classes are challenging and fun. She has a profound appreciation for the art of yoga.
