Angela is the Founder of A Return To Health Wellness Center. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCSB and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. Her story started 43 years ago when she have her first Acupuncture treatment. From that day on she new she would be immersed in the field of Allopathic Medicine. She is also a 5th Level Instructor in Shaolin One Finger Qi Gong with 30 years of experience training with the same Master. She is internationally recognized as one of the top practitioners in the world, and the disciple of the 19th Great Grand Master Cai Qiu Bai. Angela is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in the United States. She studied Orthopedics at the American College of Orthopedic Acupuncture with Dr. Hua Gu, https://www.doctorgu.com/, an Orthopedic Surgeon in China. She travelled to Beijing China to study at the Beijing Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology. Angela studied under the late Dr. Richard Tan, OMD who was a 3rd Generation Acupuncturist. His family escape the Cultural Revolution and felt to Taiwan with their scriptures in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Angela studied with Dr. Tan for 17 years with the Balance Method and Mirror Imaging. Her wide and diverse background is pertinent in her ability to diagnose and treatment many acute and chronic health issues. We call her the Detective of Healing.

Adeliz is an Acupuncturist, herbalist, and certified Vocologist. She earned her Masters of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley. It was there she learned the gentle needling technique of Japanese Acupuncture, and nutritional therapy. She is also a classically trained vocalist and singing specialist. She received her certification in the Fundamentals of Vocology from a Clinical Voice Pathologist/Vocologist. Vocology is the study of improving the voice by training the physiological subsystems of the voice, maximizing vocal wellness, and improving vocal freedom and artistry. She has experience treating fibromyalgia, neuromuscular conditions, mental health and mood disorders, stroke, and has worked at Charlotte Maxwell in Oakland, treating low-income women with cancer, supporting them through chemotherapy and post recovery. When Adeliz first experienced acupuncture, it liberated her from oppressive states of mind. This inspired her to learn how to help others survive, adapt and thrive amidst the modern challenge of an ever present environment of physical and emotional stress and anxiety. Adeliz is caring, nurturing and kind. She is an active listener dedicated to giving exceptional care and support. Adeliz is a musician, and a writer, and enjoys gaming and cooking for self-healing. Her dream one day is to open her own practice, where she can treat singers for neuromuscular conditions, vocal rehabilitation, and performance anxiety.

Dena is a Licensed Acupuncturist and herbalist for the state of California. She received her Master's of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from American College of Traditional of Chinese Medicine in San Francisco in 2012. Dena is a returning favorite! Dena assisted Angela at A Return To Health while she was in school. We are all happy to have her back! During her first years of practice Dena gained experience offering community style acupuncture utilizing Tan's Balance Method. She thrived in the challenging, fast-paced environment in which so many different types of cases walked through the door every shift. She also has experience working in a western clinical environment addressing the country's opioid crisis by offering an alternative to pharmaceuticals for chronic pain patients. Dena thinks of Chinese Medicine as truly affordable, holistic and sustainable healthcare that can address health issues from acute to chronic. She admires how Chinese Medicine works with the innate

Justin Liu

Justin Jiangtao Liu graduated from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 2000 and had obtained his Master’s Degree in Integrative Medicine. He worked as a physician for 14 years in China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing, 14 months in Neurology, 3 years in Surgical Oncology, and 10 years in Vascular Surgery Department. His specialty was in microsurgery. From June 2014 to June 2019, Justin worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Cardiovascular Research Institute, University of California San Francisco. He obtained the License in Acupuncture in California in July 2020. He is the Academic Minister of the American Society of Chinese Medicine, and an acupuncture teacher in California University Silicon Valley. He has extensive experience in Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has experience treating many patients ranging from neurology, cancer, and cardiology. He believes being a practitioner, One must use a caring and Loving heart to treat patients regardless of background.
